Where are you????

Today, I have a simple mission for you.

If, at this time, you do NOT have the location of your photography business CLEARLY marked on your website AND blog, PLEASE go change that RIGHT NOW.

If you’re insanely lucky, and do all your shoots around the world, and the city you live in doesn’t affect where your jobs come from, then seriously just go right ahead and keep it that way. And then tell me how you did it ;)

But, if you’re like most photographers, and shoot the majority of work in your hometown, you NEED to let people know where you’re located!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve come across a website, and spent a solid 10 minutes just looking for which city the photographer was from. That’s NOT what you want clients to be doing while they’re on your site.

I’d suspect you’d rather they be enchanted with your pretty photos than frustrated that they don’t know if they should even consider hiring you.

Just a happy reminder :)

Hey friend, I’m Lauren! I’m a photographer and head ninja here at Photography Concentrate. I’m downright obsessed with photography, and love sharing it with super cool folks like yourself. When I’m not shooting, or writing, you can find me cooking (and eating!), traveling, and hanging out with wonderful people.

  1. YES! This was one of the most frustrating things I continued to stumble upon when I was searching for our wedding photographer! Glad you pointed it out!!

  2. Thanks so much for the comment Alyssa, and sharing your perspective from a clients' point of view!!

  3. Good thinking. I was just contemplating whether I should do this or not on the home page of a new site I'm building. I think also from an SEO perspective this is helpful to have.
