Life is in a state of constant motion in Ho Chi Minh City. It was here that we learned how to walk across a road teeming with traffic that doesn’t even slow down, let alone stop, for pedestrians. The trick is to just walk slowly and they’ll all drive around. It’s exactly as terrifying as it looks.
If you’d like to see a video we made of that experience, click here to check out a very very old site of ours, and a post that was, coincidentally, published exactly six years ago today. Time flies.
So Ho Chi Minh City is full of people moving and our room was perfectly situated over a small, but busy street. The perfect spot to change up our perspective, and capture the street scene from a different angle.
Some of the my favourite photos are the result of taking a very simple idea, and applying it to a fascinating subject. Normally we shoot street photography (see our post on the best cameras for street photography) on the street. Shooting it from above changes everything.
